Please pray for our needs and projects

Dear praying friends.

There are some needs and projects that our Thompson Mission Church (Thompson, MB) is praying about and working on. We will really appreciate your praying support.

AIR PLANE

  • Status: started
  • Explanation: We have a small 4-seat Piper airplane. We use it to fly to remote First Nation communities. Especially in April-May or October-November seasons, when there is no ice road or water or road open for travels. Having 2 missionary families now permanently living in Thiket Portage in addition to other communities we support, we need to have a bigger air plane for our operations. There is a 7-seat plane we are working on now. No final deal yet.

DIFFERENT BUILDING

  • Status: started
  • Explanation: Our church is growing with new families joining the work here in Thompson. We do have a building that we rent for our purposes. This space is occupied almost 7 days a week by Church and/or School . The Building became too small for us. We are in the process of looking for a bigger space to rent.

ANOTHER GOSPEL TENT

  • Status: started
  • Explanation: We do Gospel outreach in the First Nation communities using big tent 20x40 .ft (ish). We've been renting that tent usually. The tent is worn out already. We are in the process of looking and possibly buying a new tent for Gospel Outreach projects

A ROAD TO THIKET PORTAGE

  • Status: paused
  • Explanation:  God opened a door for Gospel work in Thiket Portage, MB . We have two missionary families who moved already to live with the people there.  Thiket Portage is a "limited-access" community which means: access by boat in summer, or ice road in winter. For medical emergencies it is hard to get somebody in and out. Brothers from our church started to explore old trails and old logging roads to prepare a year round access to this community.

CAMP/SCHOOL: TOOLS FOR MISSION

  • Status: praying. not started
  • Explanation: We do see a need for people who are mission-minded to have a training program that may better equip them for the mission work. We are praying and planing for a 3-day or 5-day camp in one of the Communities that will give Christians some important tools for Mission work.
  • Subjects: (a) Important Christian Truths to know (b) Some helpful tools and practices (c) Basic Biblical Concealing (d) Physical work and survival skills (e) Financial responsibility

REHAB CENTRE

  • Status: praying. not started
  • Explanation: There are many homeless and addicted people on the streets of Thompson and in the Communities. There is a need to start a Christian Rehab Centre. The First phase will be soup/clothing/support program. If the first phase is successful then Shelter and Rehab Programs to be offered on the second phase of the project.
