Lord blessed us in a special way this weekend.
We had a group of brothers and sisters who came from Altona and Steinbach to cut wood for our families here in Thompson. They braved -39 C in the morning and really did A LOT! Usually it is not very convenient to cut wood in winter, as you have to use machines to get the logs out of the bush.

Now we have enough wood for the rest of the winter till spring. Praise the Lord for brothers and sisters and may Lord bless them who sacrificed their time in order to help us here.
This week Kevin and Esther Unrau and their children finally moved to Thicket Portage to help with the mission work there. Paul and myself helped on Wednesday with moving some of their possessions. Please pray for the Unrau family as it is not easy to move to the Community but even more difficult to stay there. Unrau family and Isaak family do need a lot of your prayer support.
Paul and Vera joined the group who went to Pikwitonei. This time there were quite a number of children for the service. But nobody started the fire in the church .. so it was cold outside and cold inside.
Edgar's situation.
Praise the Lord. His frozen parts are more or less healthy. Infection is gone now. Thank you all for your prayers!
For me, this week was a week of Bible Studies. In our church we started a new book - the Book of Ruth and I have been tasked to get the book going.. and on Sunday we had our regular Slavic Bible Study. We are in Matthew 4 - Temptation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There 3 areas where we all can be and will be tried and tested: (1) needs and desires of our body (2) Pride and self-glorification (3) Power and Money
We can not escape all temptation but we are called to overcome them with the power of the Holy Spirit and God's word.
