Visit to Thiket Portage and Lord’s appointment

This Past Sunday we visited Thiket Portage. This is how brother Kevin who operated the boat reported about our visit:

Our trip to Thicket Portage was blessed and we felt the Lords guiding and protective hand on this trip, with children coming for Sunday school and hearing of Jesus performing a miracle of providing a healthy catch of fish for his disciples and blessing the Sunday bible study for adults with children staying to listen to Jesus teach and give the model Lord's Prayer. The importance of prayer and with which attitude we are to approach prayer. Lord has been gracious and merciful in protecting us on our trip home by boat and vehicle, with sunset going down earlier each day leaves us with more travel by night. He is faithful to us. Praise the Lord!!

Several things that I want to add:
First: God sends who He wants to send to listen to the Gospel. Our job is to invite people.
What do I mean by this? In Thiket we have people who usually go and pick up children for the service. This Sunday these people were gone and we did know people who we have to invite. We knocked 2 houses briefly talked to ladies in the houses asking for children .. and went to Church building expecting that nobody would show up.
But Lord sent 6 children and 2 adults. One of the Adults have not attended church service since childhood (!) and she is in her 50s now. This was God's appointment for her.

Second: Our family had a lesson on how to trust. It is easy to say "trust the pilot". On our way back we had to cross the lake again. It was pitch dark. It was cold. And honestly it was a bit scary .. I do not know how to operate the boat, i can't see anything almost.. little islands are popping up here and there out of darkness.. it is cold and cold wind blows in my face. But we had to trust the pilot ...

The same principle we apply when we trust the Lord. We only trust when we come to a point when we honestly  acknowledge: we can't do it
