Next place we go is Thiket Portage, Manitoba.

You can only get into this village by boat or plane or by ice road in winter. The train runs once a week in one direction. 

There is an old Catholic church in the Community. Community people contacted Catholic authority to allow brothers to use this building for the Gospel and Ministry services. It is in our care now :) 

This year Edgar and Helena Isaac decided to relocate permanently  to Thiket Portage to minister to local people and share the Good News of  Salvation in the person of Jesus Christ.

This is "water truck" or in our terms -  a boat. Almost all goods in the summer are transported by boats to the Community. Her we have some building supplies, juice, toys we got ready for Isaac family.

This weekend, we went to Thiket Portage to help building a shed for Edgar. 3 brothers from Winkler, my sons and a son of Eduard Spies. 

We stayed overnight in an old Catholic Church where missionaries have a  service usually. 

On one of the photos - Norman and Arleen. They are believers and are our "doors " into this Comunity. Please pray for them!

As in every Northern Community: alcohol, drugs, spiritual and mental issues are quite prevalent here.

Please pray for Thiket Portage that Lord Jesus become Lord and Savior for all people in the community!
